They have the training and equipment and they know what they're doing. But I'm not saying they should be deployed to the South-Central regions, as Puntland is barely stable itself. They should focus on securing their corner of Somalia first. For now lets focus from Galkacyo to raskaambooni where the Amisom is based Puntland has its own issues they have their own security problems if you take away their army it might create vacuum which than will result into instability. In the long term Puntland security forces will be incorporated into the federal army. But for now you need to disarm all these factions there should only be the Somali national army and the Amisom support.

Maybe political pressure is what we need to disarm ASWJ and RasKamboni and incorporate them into the Somali Army. I support that

The clan wars of the 1990's have left many Somali clans insecure, and they believe that if they incorporate their men into the Somali Army, then they would be at the mercy of other clans which did not incorporate their men into the Somali Army, and still have a strong clan militia. Do you see what I'm getting at here? No one trusts each other, that's the problem. I don't think Ahmed Madoobe would voluntarily relinquish his power because he has no reason to trust other Somalis who have proven to be treacherous. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 8, 2012 This is what they should do they should organize a big conference in Somalia and call it Hubka dhigista Beelaha Somaliyeed. It cannot be that bad since there are about 17.000 Amisom forces in Somalia at the moment. There should not be a reason to be insecure since there are African union peace keeping forces the era of warlordism is over. And no clan is at war with another clan that is all something of the past.
