The Zack Posted October 1, 2012 Kenya and IGAD are facilicating the conference and nothing less, nothing more. They facilicated all TFG conferences from creating the TFG to the recent "roadmap" meeting that gave birth to this Hassan Calasow presidency. Heck AMISOM still facilitate anything that occurs in Xamar, the president's election being one of them. Not sure what is so different when they are doing the same thing for Jubbaland. Again, who really cares where the meeting occurs as long as a fair and a reasonable maamul comes out of it?
oba hiloowlow Posted October 1, 2012 Zack whats wrong with in shir weyne lagu qabto Kismaayo oo odayasha, waxgaradka, haweenka qabaailada dego magaaladaas ay fikirkooda ka dhiibtan sida loogu horumarin karo maamul goboleedka isn't their opinion significant at all? The Zack Posted October 1, 2012 ^ Adigu what is wrong with doing the same thing in Nairobi? Why ask IGAD to stop a conference that is already on the right track when you can't offer any alternative? Mr. Hassan Alasow shouldn't pull Shariif here or not only he will fail, but also he will lose the trust of the masses in Jubbooyinka!
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 1, 2012 I have the answer why not hold 2 conferences one in Nairobi and one in Kismayo as some sort of compromise Like in Jubaland 1 conference iyo Jubaland conference 2.
Jacpher Posted October 1, 2012 ^I got better one. Why not just redraw the map of Jubooyinka and have Kenya have it all to itself. Zack is just mad the new president doesn't approve of the Odinga/Natenyahu alliance. Waryee that's what presidents do, protect the sovereignty of their nation. That I welcome. Don't just "suspend" a conference that is on the way. Specially when u have no power to do that : )

Duufaan Posted October 1, 2012 President can simply name a governor from Azania for now, that may limit the tention. clans meetings is only benefitial for peace, not for creating administration. Somali must move on puntland style regional administration.
Dabrow Posted October 1, 2012 XX thats a resonable suggestion. To have two Jubbaland conferences, we share the same concern as the president for Somalias soverignity but the president should not oppose the wishes of the people.

Now that the region is somewhat being liberated from Al-Shabaab, the president will appoint a regional governor like that has been done in Galguduud and Hiiraan. AMISOM/Kenya will facilitate the political progress nor matter what cause they are on the ground, so I think if the president wants it to look like he is in control, it should be done in Mogadishu and then in Kismayo, never in Nairobi. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 1, 2012 Who is organizing the conference in Kenya Nairobi for the jubaland state IGAD headed by Kenya, or Somali politicians in kenya like the guy on the left Yusuf Xaaji Kenya's current defense Minister.
Allamagan Posted October 1, 2012 Somalis never learn from the past! Anyone who is dreaming his kinsmen/tribe with the support of kenyans will benefit from this change of hands is daydreamer, BIG time. Let the people of this region sit and decide their future alone on their own without kenya.
