Who will be Somalia’s Next Prime Minister?

Recommended Posts

Whom ever he appoints the fact is 99.999% of his goverment is a southern goverment and by default they are admitting that Somaliland is a different nation. Which ever he goes either appointing one of his southern calns or one from the Somaliland con-artist in either way its a win win situation for somaliland:

1- if he appoints a southern as usual somaliland will simply call his goverment a southern goverment and by default the south has to conced that fact.

2- If he appoints one of Somaliland's so called ***-waqooyi or even "waooyi" like Galaydh, then again its a win win situation for somaliland and Siilaanyo has to cancel all talks and he wouldn't be able to hide under " wada hadal " pretext since by doing so if the prime minister is from somaliland people will see siilaanyo for what he is a Manturian-candidate.

Horta is it technically possible for the President to appoint a person from the .5 clan for the PM position?

Well that's their place in Political Somalia it doesn't mean they are less or more that's how the formula works.

the only nonsense here is you there is no one more deserving than the former Pm and putting tribal politics aside it would be a decision most somali would feel comfortable with, and that most somali expect if the president ...chooses someone else based solely on political or tribal companionship will end up nothing more than a controversial president and the last thing we need right now is a controversial president.

People like you who seem hell bent on opposing puntland rather than finding an acceptable middle ground are whats wrong with somalia, dont act like Prof. gaas being selected would be the worst possible outcome or some dire plot, when we all know is something even the most bitter anti-puntlander would be willing to have Gaas return as PM....

Yeah in that formula, Somaliland is part of that 4.5 Somalia but you conveniently ignore that one. Why?

No what I am saying is stop picking and choosing parts of the formula you agree with. Either accept it in its entirety or refuse it all together. You can't say Somaliland is not part of that formula which you and I know it is, and accept the 0.5 part to suggest some Somalis are lower than the other. Whether you agree or disagree the political status of SL, a point out of the 4.5 is allocated for Somaliland. This part you oppose but you accept the point five part. Why?

So according to you Jacphar

somaliland which has less sits in the parliament then the .5 is fair and square and they are repersented , the .5 has over 35 MPs , the entire central clan has 28 , and at the same time you argue the south has wronged the .5 folks but have given Somaliland share fairly.? and you have the "shahaada" sign and flag too , and you claim that is jutice.

Somaliland is not part of Somalia so whether Somalias leaders give the people of somaliland one seat in their parliament or 20 it doesnt matter it doesnt change anything the MPs that are supposed to rep Somaliland according to ur constitution. And if they set foot in Somaliland get arrested. As for .5 clan how do you want to solve their issue.5 is not one clan its a group of smaller clans and they seem to be happy with their place in Somalia.
