Daqane Posted September 10, 2012 Ngonge is not an oracle, he mistakes skepticism for wisdom, and anyway conventional wisdom was 100% behind shariff apart for some talkative puntites
Tillamook Posted September 10, 2012 Ngonge is a hopeless secessionist and was hoping Sharif to continue to hold Somalia down for as long as possible, But Allah is just.
NGONGE Posted September 10, 2012 I am amazed. The Somalis in the parliment went against the norm. Shame about the ones in SOL!
General Duke Posted September 10, 2012 ^^^ Most of us supported the eventual change agents. Abdiweli, Farmaajo, Baadiyow & Bashir Looyaan. Most of us were against the old corrupt Sharif's. Most of us except the secessionists who wholeheartedly supported the Sharif's..
Malika Posted September 10, 2012 Lol@Ngonge, waayo? You thought the SL somalis have the monopoly on civility?..lol A new era - a new man on the seat..time will tell.
Mario B Posted September 10, 2012 Ngonge is a cynic @ Malika. @ Duke, blame Faroole for Gaas's demise, his outburst and tantrums made sure PM Gaas was unelectable as the next President!
Jacpher Posted September 10, 2012 I think everything was going as planned or predicted Shariif to win until the second round. Gaas and Cosoble withdrew to support Hassan Sheikh. That's when Sharif's chances of winning diminished. Hassan will likely get men n of caliber, an academic like him appoint PM. Expect Farmaajo/Gaas or the likes of them for PM. Bright future for Somalia.

Somalis (of any kind) and "civility", Malika? Come now, talk sense. I just didn't expect Sharif to lose. I truly expected a stitch up like last time. ElPunto Posted September 10, 2012 ^How did Hassan manage to come out of the 25+ candidates is the question and secure significant support in the 1st round? Good old Ngonge. Hope your amazement re konfurian governance continues.
