Narniah Posted September 9, 2012 Asalamalaikum Share with me your favorite most heart touching Ayan/verse in the Holy Quraan. I know the Quraan is filled with so many that it's hard to pick a favorite, As all of the Quraan is beautiful word for word but there are certain ayahs that speak to you so personally and closely and move you to humility, making you shed tears. If you ever came across that Ayah, share so others can read it too. Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth, The parable of His Light is as if there were a niche, And within it a Lamp: The Lamp enclosed in Glass; The glass as it were a brilliant star; Lit from a blessed Tree, An Olive, neither of the East nor of the West, Whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it; Light upon Light! Allah doth set forth parables for men: and Allah doth know all things. surah 24:35 Al Nur (The Light) My Lord! Open up for me my heart. And ease for me my task. And untie the knot of my tongue. That they may understand my speech. Qur'an - 20:25-
Blessed Posted September 9, 2012 My last tafsiir class was on this ayah, it's such an amazing ayah. SubhanAllah. I like the whole of Surah AlRahman and this verse: وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُواْ بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ And when My servants ask you (O Muhammad concerning Me), I am indeed near. I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me... (Surah al Baqarah v. 186.) Notice how at the beginning Allah is addressing the Prophet (SAW) "if they ask you" but He (ASJ) gives responds to us directyly "Indeed, I am near". Grant us Thy forgiveness, O our Sustainer, for with Thee is all journeys’ end! “God does not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: in his favor shall be whatever good he does, and against him whatever evil he does. “O our Sustainer! Take us not to task if we forget or unwittingly do wrong! “O our Sustainer! Lay not upon us a burden such as Thou didst lay upon those who lived before us! O our Sustainer! Make us not bear burdens which we have no strength to bear! “And efface Thou our sins, and grant us forgiveness, and bestow Thy mercy upon us! Thou art our Lord Supreme: succor us, then, against people why deny the truth!”

Wadani Posted September 10, 2012 Am khuliquu min ghairi shay'in am humul khaaliquun? Am khalaqus-samaawaati wal-ard, bal-laa yuuqinuun. Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief. At-Tuur. Verse 36-37. Saxansaxo Posted September 10, 2012 2:152 Al-Baqarah: so remember Me, and I shall remember you; and be grateful unto Me, and deny Me not. 48:26 Al-Fath: While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquillity to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things.
Aaliyyah Posted September 11, 2012 There are many verses that I love equally, but here is my favorite Surah. I love this Surah
Bluelicious Posted September 11, 2012 Turn not your cheek away from people in scorn and pride, and walk not on earth haughtily; for God does not love anyone who acts proudly and boastfully. Be modest in your bearing and lower your voice; for the ugliest sound is the donkey’s braying. Luqman 31: 18-19 Say: The Truth has come from your Lord. Let him who will believe it and let him who will reject it. Al-Kahf 18:
27. And if all the trees On earth were pens And the Ocean (were ink), With seven Oceans behind it To add to its (supply), Yet would not the Words Of God be exhausted (In the writing): for God Is Exalted in power, Full of Wisdom. Liibaan Posted September 12, 2012 I don't have one favorite ayah, because there are many beautiful aayaat, and the whole quran is full of wisdom, masha allah. Here are some aayaat: - This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - - So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me. Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." Al-Baqarah ___________________________________________________ - Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky? - It produces its fruit all the time, by permission of its Lord. And Allah presents examples for the people that perhaps they will be reminded And the example of a bad word is like a bad tree, uprooted from the surface of the earth, not having any stability. Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allah sends astray the wrongdoers. And Allah does what He wills. - And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah , you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful. Surah Ibrahim
Liibaan Posted September 12, 2012 - And when adversity touches man, he calls upon Us; then when We bestow on him a favor from Us, he says, "I have only been given it because of [my] knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know. - Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." - But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have been opened and its keepers say, "Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein," [they will enter]. - And they will say, "Praise to Allah , who has fulfilled for us His promise and made us inherit the earth [so] we may settle in Paradise wherever we will. And excellent is the reward of [righteous] workers." - And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, exalting [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, "[All] praise to Allah , Lord of the worlds." Surah Zumar 73-
Liibaan Posted September 12, 2012 - Is the reward for good [anything] but good? - So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? Surah Ar-Rahman _____________________________________________________________ - [To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul, Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], And enter among My [righteous] servants And enter My Paradise."
