NGONGE Posted August 21, 2008 ^^ Force of habit, mate. Just noticing that the UAE (local) society is starting to open up. If the daughter of Sheikh Mo can take part in such sports (with no abaayah on), I don't think it will be long before many others follow suit.

Oz Posted August 22, 2008 Argentina 3-0 Brazil The Auriverde basically dared someone other than Lionel Messi to beat them. And for 52 minutes it worked. But then Sergio 'El Kun' Aguero called Brazil's bluff, scoring two second half goals and winning a penalty for good measure as he lead Argentina to a 3-0 win, and a spot in Saturday's final against Nigeria. Nigeria 4 - 1 Belgium Nigeria thumped surprise package Belgium 4-1 on Tuesday to reach the Olympic soccer final for the first time since winning the tournament 12 years ago. SOL Football fans if you remember its the re-birth of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics finals between Nigeria vs Argentina a must watch match. An 89th-minute goal by Emmanuel Amunike gave Nigeria its first Olympic soccer title Saturday when it beat Argentina 3-2. Claudio Lopez fired Argentina ahead in the second minute, then Celestine Babayaro tied it for Nigeria in the 28th. Argentina regained the lead when Hernan Crespo putting home a penalty kick in the 49th minute, but Daniel Amokachi made it 2-2 in the 75th. Overtime looked likely until Amunike beat the Argentine offsides trap and volleyed home a free kick from Wilson Oruma. The Likes of Sunday oliseh, Kanu, Daniel amokachi and Celestine babayaro won't be there tomorrow but they have young talented players such as Olubayo Adefemi and Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi. PS: The finals are tomorrow (Saturday) Check your local time.

Walking around malls wearing the hijab half hearted is still too appealing

Separatist Posted August 22, 2008 Looking forward to the repeat of 1996 Atlanta Olympics finals in football(men). The Super eagles need some magic 2moro...Argentina showed muscles against Brazil in the semis, but no worry, Nigeria beat both of them in '96. But I miss the likes of Babayaro, Okocha, Oliseh, Amokachi and Kanu. Darn, The match is 6 in the morning...but it's worth it.
