That was just a splendid coincidence my friend. Sharif Ahmed is just a figurehead. He hasn't actually done anything of substance. The Prime Minister and AMISOM deserve the credit here...not him. Sharif Ahmed wasn't even competent enough to pay his own soldiers

Somalia Posted September 2, 2012 malistar, we are not saying he's bad, a thief or a murderer, we are saying he did the right thing by letting AMISOM take the lead in liberating us from Al-Shabaab but the work couldn't have been done without them. He deserves credit for taking the lead and recognizing the problem, and it is true we saw peace under him, no one denied that, look at my posts. Waranle_Warrior Posted September 2, 2012 Certainly he wasn't a colorful President but not as bad as you all make it. But truth be said, he fitted the role of the Maxaakimta leader and spokesperson and did better in that role than as the President title. Maybe the man wasn't real/acting in the latter role while the first was natural and was being himself.
Tillamook Posted September 3, 2012 Sharif must never come back, he had his chance and now it is time for a new President with strong leadership skills and vision. Also one that isn't so fond of flying abroad every chance he gets. Go home Sharif.
malistar2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Somalia you might not , but oday is accusing him of murder and etc. The man you are trying to present to us as the Messiah is anything but!. He is corrupt, stole Millions, is responsible for the deaths of thousands of our citizens, assasinated hundreds, “Vision” was bring back security and stability mainly to south Somalia , how much was that accomplished ? 2. set up government and parliament in Somalia ., greatest achievement Clan Elder’s across Somalia came to gather and signed drafted constitution in the capital without incident , Nothing happens overnight, sharif Ahmed in conclusion has done great job within three years. Nothing but success and joy for the average citizen in Somalia. We Somalis owe him next term and lifetime respect and honor .

malistar2012 Posted September 3, 2012 There can be two reasons why you dislike President sheikh sharif , 1 . Your shababa supporter 2. Clan reasons ( tolka for president seat) I don’t see any other reasons , Sheikh sharif Ahmed had succeed were previous administration failed point-blank. Tan iyo intii ay isbedellada nabadeed ka dhaceen magaalada Muqdisho islamarkaana caasimadda laga xoreeyey Maleeshiyada kooxda Al-Qaeda waxaa sii kordhayey goobaha waxbarasho ee Muqdisho laga hirgelinayo kuwaasi oo ay Jaamacadaha ugu horeeyaan. Thank you Mr President for getting are education back in track , learning in safe environment . With good leadership and blessing of Allah nothing is impossible , Shiekh Sharif Ahmed has proved that . These are what counts, schools reopening , kids are getting their education , Business booming
Tillamook Posted September 3, 2012 ^^ It has nothing to do with whether I like or dislike the man. Sheikh Sharif as an individual is an awesome dude. He just never was a good president, that's all. Under his presidency Somalia would have achieved much much more than you've mentioned and that's because he doesn't know what heads from tails when it comes to running a country. As such, homeboy must go and give others a chance. We've seen what his leadership is all about but it isn't enough for our country.
Tillamook Posted September 4, 2012 Sharif must go!
Tillamook Posted September 5, 2012 Wow, as we get closer to the election day, Sharif is getting desperate and resorting to all sorts of desperate measures like announcing new districts without a mandate to do so; and let's not forget his sad attempts to have former warlords included in the parliament. It's unfortunate that he cannot face the truth and accept that the people of Somalia want something different from his unending dalxiis.
Tillamook Posted September 7, 2012 Wouldn't it be nice if Sharif had anything tangible that he accomplished during his term in office? I'm sure, if there was anything positive about his presidency, it would speak for itself. So now, he has no alternative but to spend millions bribing, distorting, harassing and trying to create doubt about other highly successful candidates who have shown us that they can make a difference in a very short period. Tillamook Posted September 8, 2012 What did you guys think of Sharif's speech? To me, he looked like a man hawking expired medecines without a license. Also, why was he trying to conceal his dialectal accent with all those arabic words? An honest and natural dialect like Salaad cali Jeele's is more tolerable to me than Shariif's vulgar *******ization of the Somali language; and I am sorry to say that in spite of the richness of our languuage, there is still too much arabic encroahment perpetrated by people like Shariif(and others) who would rather use words borrowed from a foreign tongue instead of the plethora of Somali words and phrases that readily avail themselves to them. This is an impingement of foreign values on our Somali culture and it must discouraged.
