National treasure; Zamzam should have never competed in the 400m, but in the 1500m or the marathon competitions instead, like the male athlete who thankfully didn't come last. TRUTH BE TOLD, none of the SOL guys mocking her would have done any better against those WOMEN she was up against. you can’t be all things to all men/women. stop being a contortionist and for once STOP trying FORCE 'us' into your delusional and utopian worldview. the truth of the matter is that 'your' precious samsam disappointed an entire nation, a nation whose urgency for some semblance of success was entrusted in the hands of two pathetic little puppets. its not all about taking part, as it were; but rather fulfilling a national duty. i have no issues with samsam and YES you're right that she might have defeated me in the 400m heat, despite my rather promising athletics career being curtailed long before reaching the highest and indeed world class standard lol; but i'm not gloating here nor making samsam's shambolic and lacklustre performance into the stuff the Olympics are made off. samsam and her kind shouldn’t be representing 'somalia' at the highest level anywhere. similarly, 'somalia' has too often in the past sent delegates, representatives and others with questionable track record and off very poor calibre to the UN Nations assembly, ICAO meetings, forums, summits and conferences the world over.

 

why are you glorifying samsam? she's symbolic nor worthy of any praise. she's a just a pawn in this quandary we find ourselves. she's unfortunately been used as a political tool.... and what can we say of her future before she falls in the oblivion that has swelled many a 'chancers' before her ...and what off sustainability and future performances at elite sport events....well. it’s too early to comment as she'll probably be married off to some camel herder in medina distinct of that unassuming hell-hole she hails from. what off using her 'earned' prestige to follow a UN Goodwill Ambassador for women and children role....well, ....the same man who sent her to the Olympic games will probably feel she's a threat to him and will ruin any chance she has/had.
