Oz Posted April 21, 2013 Avb deserves more credit here, three subs changed the match. So this makes 2nd spot wide open whoever wins more games will take. Spurs did a big favour for the red devils a win tomorrow and they are crowned. Agh! The next 4-5 weeks is going to be pure entertainment - oh love EPL. Oz Posted April 23, 2013 ^^^ his skills are phenomenal. David Cameron calls on FA to take hard line with Luis Suárez over bite • Downing Street calls for example to be made of striker • Striker condemned for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/22/luis-suarez-charged-biting-ivanovic Found this on the net. nuune Posted April 24, 2013 Suarez banned for 10 games by FA Liverpool and striker ‘shocked and disappointed’ by severity of ban for Ivanovic bite Luis Suárez has been handed a 10-game ban for his shocking bite on Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic at Anfield on Sunday. A three-man independent regulatory commission, impartial to both Liverpool and Chelsea, opted for the lengthy suspension after considering the Football Association’s charge of violent conduct against a written submission from the Anfield club on Wednesday morning. An FA statement said: “A three-person independent regulatory commission today upheld the FA’s claim that a suspension of three matches was clearly insufficient and the player will serve a further seven first-team matches in addition to the standard three. The suspension begins with immediate effect.” The 26-year-old will now miss the remainder of the season and the start of the next campaign, although he has until midday on Friday to appeal the additional suspension. The Liverpool managing director, Ian Ayre, said: “Both the club and player are shocked and disappointed at the severity of today’s Independent Regulatory Commission decision. We await the written reasons [on Thursday] before making any further comment.” Suárez had accepted the violent conduct charge but, in a stance that undermined his shows of contrition and Liverpool’s swift reaction to his latest indiscretion, claimed the offence did not warrant more than an automatic three-match ban for violent conduct. Suárez received an eight-match ban plus a £40,000 fine for using racially abusive language towards Manchester United’s Patrice Evra last season and Wednesday’s commission could take that into account if they wished. He was also banned for seven matches by the Dutch FA in November 2010 for sinking his teeth into Otman Bakkal of PSV Eindhoven. Liverpool were concerned that Suárez’s chequered past and pressure from prime minister David Cameron’s office would increase the severity of his punishment for biting the Chelsea defender. The club and Suárez acted swiftly with their apologies and condemnation on Sunday, and publicised his donation of a club fine to the Hillsborough Family Support Group, only to invite fresh criticism for contesting the FA’s stance that a three-match ban would be “clearly insufficient”. Oz Posted April 24, 2013 It's heavier than I expected, but I think he needed to be made an example of due his past form and apparent disregard for his own behaviour on the pitch. He's an amazing player, but he's also a liability to the clubs reputation, time and time again he's making Liverpool look bad and he's either going to have to learn or frankly be shown the door. I hope he does learn from this ban and just sticks to playing great football. Ps:I'll be interested to see the written report when the FA release to it tomorrow. As I said, I think he's shot himself in the foot by contending the FA's view that a 3 match ban was insufficient.
N.O.R.F Posted May 13, 2013 Ngonge and Bob, Carrying on our fb conversation on Brendan Rodgers, you really don’t have a leg to stand on. We have done better this season than last season when King Kenny was in charge. We have scored more, won more, are higher up the table and he has done this with half a squad in the first half of the season when got rid of dead wood like Carrol . He has his flaws tactically but I think he has improved over the season. See stats below badaowyahow. 2012-2013 Scored: 70 Conceded: 43 Won: 15 Draws: 13 Lost: 9 Goals per game: 1.89% Points: 58 (1 game left) 2011-2012 Scored: 47 (that’s terrible) Conceded: 40 Won: 14 Draws: 10 Lost: 14 Goals per game: 1.24% Points: 52 http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/clubs/profile.statistics.html/liverpool#clubsTabsMatchStats http://www.statto.com/football/teams/liverpool http://www.statto.com/football/teams/liverpool/2011-2012 Now that we have put that to bed, give the guy some credit. With some decent summer buys who knows, we could challenge for a CL place next season. Bob, The problem with Arsenal fans (and Ngonge) is that they don’t really watch games live. They rely on highlights. We have been passing better and creating more chances than the previous 3 seasons. Waar bahasha barta
N.O.R.F Posted May 13, 2013 Oh, look Rafa only did a bit better in his final season (with Torres and Mascherano) at his disposal http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/league-table.html?season=2009-2010&month=MAY&timelineView=date&toDate=1273359600000&tableView=CURRENT_STANDINGS
NGONGE Posted May 13, 2013 ^^ Err..did you take into account that we reached TWO cup finals last season and got to a decent stage of the Europa league? Rodgers got us knocked out from both cups against average teams. He only managed to beat any of the six teams above us ONCE (and that was a late goal against Spurs). He got his tactics wrong on more than one occassion and has been talking rubbish all season. Rafa is a world class manager no matter which way you and the Chelsea fans try to portray him. The man beat both Barca and Madrid to the La Liga title TWICE. He won the UEFA cup and the CL. He got to another CL final and now he got to another UEFA final. There really isn't anyone in the PL who comes even close to challanging Rafa (now that Sir Alex is gone). Bahasha baro.

He has been talking rubbish all season yes. But, we have scored 23 more goals, have 6 more points (with a game left) and we will finish the season a place better off. Waar give the man some credit. Cup runs come and go (Rafa didn't do much better with a better squad in 09/10. Naga daa dee As for Rafa, Barca were not Barca in 01 and 03. He is a top manager but could be even better if he didn't decide to settle for draws in the 75th minute (our downfall in 09).
NGONGE Posted May 13, 2013 ^^ You defend Rodgers with filmsy excuses and attack Rafa with filmsy charges. The FACTS (as Rafa would say) are that Rafa won those titles and got to those finals (not to mention the 86 points in 08/09). Rodgers finished the season a place better off though you ignore the cup runs. Eighth with two cup finals (winning one of those) as opposed to seventh with not even European football to look forward to? Yep, he did well. Seriously, bahasha baro ninyaho. N.O.R.F Posted May 13, 2013 He did better in the league with only half the squad of Kenny in the first part of the season, bought well in January, has got us scoring more and putting more points on the board. We had a chance of 4th as late as what 10 games to go? Waar, we were out of the race for 4th by Jan last season. You're using mickey mouse cups as a benchmark because that all you can do dee As for Rafa, hope he is the next manager of City
NGONGE Posted May 13, 2013 ^^ Half the squad of Kenny was HIS fault. The goals scored were just Suarez finally getting into his stride. I'm using the cups to show that Rodgers did not do any better than Kenny (one place better but NO Cups as opposed to eight with two cup finals). Wax fahan. Rafa will eventually win the league with City.
N.O.R.F Posted May 13, 2013 His fault when he didn't want them? The FACT that he went on and did better in the league (more goals, more wins, more chances, more everything) shows he has done something right. Wax fahan! Rafa should win the league with that squad in his first season.
