Xaaji Xunjuf Posted June 28, 2012 Indeed its a historic day this occurred 52 years ago in April The two prime Ministers of Somaliland and Somalia meeting in Mogadishu Muhammad haji ibrahim cigaal leading the Somaliland delegation with Cabdilahi Ciise the Prime Minister of Somalia. 52 years later the President of Somaliland Ahmed Siilaanyo and the President of Somalia Sh Sharif meeting in the united Arab emirates. Only the purpose this time is different in 2012
xiinfaniin Posted June 28, 2012 ^^Oodweyne , the masses will find a solace in the affirmation of Somaliland intention to succeed even if the process and the letter of the agreement clearly indicate otherwise , so you expected public discourse on the question of Somaliland's status within Somalia may never come to pass. And that is by design. Look at the international cover ...the framing of the issues, and the veneer of dignity and sovereignty where none exist awoowe
Carafaat Posted June 28, 2012 Oodweyneh, is it a coexident that this day comes 2 days after the 26th of June and 2 days before the Union of 1st of July? Surely you can understand the significance of compromise and meeting eachother in the middle.
Showqi Posted June 28, 2012 Reer Somaliland hadii ay doonayaan in walaalahood Somali ku soo darsamaan waa in la soo dhoweeyaa oo aan wax shuruud ah lagu xirin. Laakiin waa in Khaatumo iyo Awdal land laga saraa ciidamada Somaliland, waayo Reer Khaatumo iyo Reer Awdalland doonayaan in ay ka mid noqdaan dowlada Somalia ee Muqdisho laga xukuma. Abtigiis Posted June 28, 2012 Like a man who suffers from chronic priapism ( a painful erection that has nothing to do with a desire for pleasure) but consistently brags about his virility to cope with the stigma and the inner agony, Oodweyne is putting up a brave face to survive a debilitating humiliation, as all that dream he invested so much energy and vitriol on, nears total collapse!! He is a man nimbly walking on eggs and deserves our sympathy more than anything!
Carafaat Posted June 28, 2012 Showqi,in the business world you have mergers(fusie) and acquisitions(overname). The diffrence is that in a merger you have two parties joining eachother, in takeover there is a dominant party taking over a smaller party. Let's say 1960 was a takeover and now we are talking about a merger. Afcourse you have also hostile takeovers, that is more like the coupe of 1969. P.S. The business world doesn't know any strategy for seperation, secession or a unit going it alone.

War u kaadi Showqi wax badan bu ogalyahay ha eryin he is only against Borama and laasqoray and laascaanood separating the rest of the country wu ogalyahay. Now in my opinion i say lets ask the entire peoples of Somaliland what they wish i am for a UN supervised referendum on independence than we know who wants what problem solved. Samafal Posted June 28, 2012 Is any one deluded to think in these talks Somaliland will get recognition? I doubt even if Silaanyo believes that. They are there to prevent any future armed confrontation with the South and get their share of Somalia development fund as Puntland does. So they are basically avoiding isolation and deprivation, that's clever, I say.
Abwaan Posted June 28, 2012 Oodweyne, you know what i am thinking? That you are not even a Somali. Who knows that for sure? You might be one of those old, confused Brits with the intention of dividing Somalis. You are stuck on the colonial era, Wake up. This is the time to proof me wrong. Accept the invitation and attend the event.
Carafaat Posted June 28, 2012 Oodweyneh and Samafal, have found eachother in their opposition against Somalis talking. Don't you trust Shariif and Siilanyo with preserving the interest of the nation?
