Xaaji Xunjuf Posted June 27, 2012 Siilaanyo knows that yesterday he made it all clear on the 26 June party at Madaxtooyada that Somaliland statehood is not negotiable.
Somalia Posted June 27, 2012 He's not going to get sovereignty, it's very obvious, the latest blow comes from our new federal constitution. We must unite!
Aadan Jugle Posted June 27, 2012 Somaliland statehood isn't negotiable ?? you never get it do you ever. There will b no somaliland discussion in all levels. 1- the world or so called IC use to tell us we need to talk to Somalia about our case. 2- Now since the so called IC is trying to revive the dead corps the IC swept our case under the carpet and forced us to sign cooperation deals with Somalia. 3- Those 8 points will be our own coffin , no somaliland case will ever be persented , 4- if we cooperate with somalia, in security, fishery, defence ,and finance we are essentially a Federal entity no different then puntland. 5- The so called IC tricked us into these 8 points which are a "trojan horse" of Fedralism. Read my lips, this is a trojan horse of federalism. period
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted June 27, 2012 Cooperating with Somalia on security and fighting against piracy is just a way to pave the road and cooperate on the next talks nothing of the 8 points agreed undermines Somalilands sovereignty Somaliland cooperates with Ethiopia and Djibouti on the same subjects discussed with Somalia. Aadan stop being so afraid of Somalia , Somalia is not a sovereign country it doesn't have a functioning government but it was given semi recognition to be authority of Somalia by the international community.Somaliland is negotiating from a stronger position non of the 8 points imply federalism Confederacy or any sort of unity with Somalia. The fundamental issues will be raised in the talks and it will be discussed and legal experts will be present stop being so afraid of Somalia the TFG is just one entity of Somalia and it just happens to be the one we are dealing with. Its all going the right direction for Somaliland and the people of Somaliland.
Aadan Jugle Posted June 27, 2012 Thats exactly what "federalism" is in somali context "regional cooperations" in finance, security, border and sea. Thats what puntland share with the TFG nothing else , they have their constitution and their millitery just like us and all they do with the TFG is "cooperations". It will take a while to down on you but eventually you will catch up. Furthermore, no where would the issue of somaliland would be discussed with Somalia goverment be it now or in the future, they have rejected even to enter it as a clause with the 8 points, thats why you see lawyers and legal experts. If legel expert means somaliland case it would have been added, but it was left in vague by the demand from the south. Its an eternal dance, somaliland will keep cooperating in these 8 points and thats it we are as good as puntland if we do cooperate with the TFG on these issues, what else they would need from us lool we are a federal entity by default. Its hard explaining a "trojan horse" senario but any sharp minded visionary can spot it, behind the glitze and glamour of shaking hands with the so called IC. It will take you while but you will eventually come to the obvious conclusion, Siilaanyo is there in UAE to sign the 8 points having the legal status as federal entity, how else you sign an agreement, your legal position is a Somali federal province, if you don't think about that before signing your paper , then you are dimwitted and the IC wouldn't not offer you the decent notification of your legall position and what you are impling if you sign these 8 points. He sent them in after his government was about to crumble in the face of hostile Islamists which then turned out to be clannists, would you let Somaliland die in the face of clannist Islamists?
