Nothing is written in stone; everything in life is subject to change. However, the 1960 Constitution will remain the only legitimate, democratic, Somali-owned constitution. The European colonial maps are the antithesis of everything the Muslimnimo/Somalinimo, Daraawiish, USP, SYL, KHaatumo stand for. . It's not rocket science, very easy to understand If Somalia is divisible so is the territories of the former British Somali Colony that ceased to exist in 1960. The Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Somalia , 1960 Article 1 The Somali people is oneand indivisible. Article 6 4. The Somali Republic shall promote, by legal and peaceful means, the union of Somali territories and encourage solidarity among the peoples of the world, and in particular among African and Islamic peoples. The 1960 constitution was not approved by the Majority people of Somaliland. How ever we are not talking about Somaliland Liibaan u seem to have no problems with the Kenyan Somalia border the Anglo Italian border. These boundaries are supported by Somalia's govt and by the newly adopted constitution. The current government of Somalia doesn't claim the Somali region of Ethiopia as a disputed area. They are truely nuts, These people who constantly talk about such things and beleive in such narrative know very little about these facts, for example the British signed costal agreements with coastal clans not Burco or Ceerigaabo or Hargaysa or Laas Caanood. In fact Hargaysa was only added to the British protectrate in the 1930s, so is Las Anod and Las Qori that border was formed in the 1930's it has nothing todo with the 1880;s tribal agreements,. Rebuilding the regional state in terms of education, health, and governance should be given priority. The moral of the story less talk more work. There are some confused Khaatumo folks who can not see trees from the forest. XX: FYI, other anglo borders as of today are valid and standing but the one between the former Somali regions was nullified and voided in 1960 thus, one Somali family can neither reclaim nor redraw a defunct, obscure border. Brother Doctor Kenney, I agree with you 100%. Western Somalia will always be part of United Somalia. Ethiopian Government with the help of British colonists robbed the territory from Somali People. Insha Allah, we will liberate the our land from the Ethiopian occupiers. As you said, KHaatumo & Maakhir people have every right to remain as integral part of United Somalia. No one can force them to accept European colonial borders. Similarly, NorthWest/Somaliland People have the right to separate from Somalia. No one can force them to be part of United Somalia. You can only do so if somaliland does a refrundum and you tiny 4 viilages beats Gebilay in voting yes for another union. Or you can do it through the gun and fight it off and defeat somaliland troops using your horses and a sling-shot and recite your Mullah's diatribes.
