Fabregas Posted May 22, 2007 @Khalaf bro, I don't think anybody advocates for more war and chaos in Somalia. The Prophet (saw) was always open to negotiation and seeking peaceful means to stop bloodshed. The clasic examples are with treaty of Hudaybiyah and the peaceful takeover of Mecca. But didn't the Prophet and his companions pledge to defend the companion that went to negotiate with the Quraish, because they thought the Quraish had harmed him?Allah swt praised in the Quran, when the Muslim made the pledge of the tree. This is how Islam is and should be. On the one hand the Prophet saw and companions were open to negotiations and dialogue. On the other hand they were ready to defend and avenge to the death if their fellow Muslim companion had been harmed. I supported the T.F.G in their initial creation. Moreover, I am not a hypocrite, I live safely in the secular west. Therefore, I wouldn't mind a secular government in Somalia based loosely on Islamic guidlines, as the Somali nation is all Muslim. Somalis groups that oppose Ethiopian presence in Somalia have always been open to negotiation and dialogue. Even the O.N.L.F have always demanded that Zenawi meet them outside of Ethiopia in a neutral country to negotiate a settlement. But he sends in his entire army which accomplishes nothing. There are negotiations and there is what is called surrendeting. Ironically the word Muslim can also mean surrender. Thus there are some things that Muslims can't and aren't allowed to surrender, that is: 1. The violation of their lands 2. Their Deen 3. Ther live, property and wealth of their fellow Muslim brothers and sisters. Ethiopia came to Somalia and demanded( as i have been told) that: 1. I.C.U except Ethiopian troops in Somalia 2.Give up their claims and solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Somali Galbeed 3.Stop ruling by the Quran and Sunnah The other entites you say are at peace have probably excepted all of those and more including the tranportation of Somali Ulema to Adiss Jails. Given these things and other gross crimes that have been commited by the Ethiopians, it is natural that some will resist them. So it is not a matter of seeking more war in Somalia. Rather people excercising their Islamic, Secular and Nationalistic rights when they are under threat. However, I believe that the T.F.G still has a chance, if they set a clear mandate for the withdrawl of foriegn troops and give amnesty to all those that are being hunted down. The current path that they are setting will only create more people that are willing to pick up guns against them. p.s i don't think any Arab troops are on their way to Somalia.
