Abtigiis Posted June 9, 2012 Amina weheliye's love for a podium is legendary and there she is milking it to the maximum. Asayda ay sheegto ma south somalia dadka ku nool unbay u sidaa ileen kuwa soomaaligalbeed lagu laayo waa ta u mashxaradee!! Ee ina-iley u nacamlaysa. Caasha-kin, the lady who said shariif sakiin is gaffa-prone, she actually says dayuus-baro (diaspora) which could also have ignited another walkout! The video sums up everything that is wrong with somalis: pettiness, useless loquacity, false anger, etc. I am a talkative man, but that is in the cafe. I can never imagine taking the stage, just to repeat what has already been said by someone else. Hadalka la iska daba maro xafladaha waan necbahay. Turkey will have hard time to rationalize with quick tempered somalis, the italians tried hard to mediate mudug clans during colonial times, and when they got tired with somali nonsense, they just walked away saying "porca miseria infanzia" which loosly transilates into "Bloody hell children". Yes that's what somalis are, spoiled prats.

NGONGE Posted June 9, 2012 ^^ The reaction would have been the same had it been Somaliland, Norf. Clan Is EVERYTHING. They went there representing their clan and it's understandable that they'll get upset when the woman made that comment. It's not about being brainwashed by the Sharif, it's about representing the team. Any of the others would have done the same if it were one of their own. 4.5, warya, 4.5. Wax fahan. N.O.R.F Posted June 9, 2012 It doesn't and wouldn't happen in SL. That was a huge over reaction. I dread to think what its actually like trying to get these guys to agree on anything.
Abtigiis Posted June 9, 2012 They overeacted; i expected one of them to shout 'maxaa weeye sacabku?' and a bit of commotion. But then NG is right , any of the others would have done the same.

Which SL is that, the one that just arrested a guy who wrote a book with some stories about clans? War it happens in all SOMALI areas. From a "clan is everything" prespective, these old men did the right thing.
N.O.R.F Posted June 9, 2012 I was refering to the political make up in SL not needing such conferences or speeches in foreign lands by attention seeking do for nothing people. Gurtidaa inoo joogaa. Someone arrested for what?
NGONGE Posted June 9, 2012 ^^ It's unfortunate that they have to meet in foreign lands but the basic problem is the same, saaxib. Don't be fooled by SL's gurti or what not. Had it been an SL meeting and a speaker uttered the same words about a Siilaanyo, Riyaale or any of the other names associated with clans they too would have had a walk out (even inside SL). The only difference in SL is that they harnessed the clan system a little but the clan system exists nonetheless. p.s. Did you not read about the "historical" book some guy in Hargeisa wrote? He was arrested because some argue that he insulted some clans in his book (and this is BEFORE any applause or otherwise). NORF, a gullible SL Supremacist or shall we call him naive la khalday. war adeerow somali waa somali, NGONGE is right, did you forget what happened when C/Raxman C/Qadir was kicked out of Kulmiye, the clan over reaction was way beyond belief and it brought SL's fragile weakness to the naked eye. N.O.R.F;840190 wrote: I was refering to the political make up in SL not needing such conferences or speeches in foreign lands.. Adeerow you are comparing a nation to a clan triange, the south is a nation and has gigantic problems, with its diverse of languages, dialects, tribes, and resource it is more complicated than 3 villages problems.
