marka hore lets not get excited and pollute the forum with the usual pro-xamari sentiments. xamar must be put to the litmus test based on a somali standard. based on this, its still the same hell-hole its been for last 21 yrs. compared to other somali settlements, its failed miserably.

 

its place devoid of civilisation although its been confirmed to me that there are pockets of culture in places like xamar-jabjab and xafada hodan.the metaphor that best sums up xamar and its environ is the 'the diamond thief whose been convinced into one last heist but that always goes pear-shaped or tits-up'. its place where thievery, corruption and daily bomb-shells gone hand in hand with booming efficient telecommunications. whatever that has been achieved has been achieved by the ordinary folk of xamaris. this has nothing to do with government or efficient administration. nor can we expect any efficient administration in the foreseeable future. there's bound to be some unexpected misfortune that will befall this heart of darkness, this mass-grave of hatred and violent space. xamar is hell-hole becos its place needs to repent for its misgivings and bad deeds. the 'city' must be cleansed of the filth that it still habours. and no amount of making false claims by the rubble-rousers will do anything credible for its position.

 

xamar has consistenly disappointed time and time again. i'm certainly not hopeful for the future nor should any indigenous 'xamari' get their hope up too becos there bound to be a problem and more bloodshed.
