Che -Guevara Posted May 15, 2012 Many important world leaders don't speak English and it's not requirement. This seemed like informal setting but the important thing is once the press conference started, the man answered the questions eloquently and got his message through. oba hiloowlow Posted May 15, 2012 che obivously many leaders dont, but shariifka should learn faa'ido weeye and the language is kinda mainstream
Showqi Posted May 16, 2012 The title of the thread is misleading! I don't think Shariif did anything wrong, this kind of mistakes happen all the time. Of course it would have been better if it was never happened, but he was very polite by asking his staff what kind of language he needs to use, and recovered with in two seconds from that blunder. Oh and when he greeted Mr. Muraad! that was also a nice moment. That shows you that our president is very nice guy, down to earth and not to forget he remambers peoples first name, which is cool. I actually liked when he greeted Mr. Muraad in Arabic...:D
Abdul Posted May 16, 2012 He did well and actualy appears in control of the situation.
Farmaraa Posted May 16, 2012 The president did not do nothing wrong. If you are blame on him speaking Arabic/Somali, you should know that the native English speakers barely know other langauges. At least, our leader is bilingual. Top of that, look the world leaders many of them don't know English langauge or not choose to adress when they are in the UN conferences. Saaxiib ma waxaad tahay qolyaha u haysta in Ingiriis Soomaalida qaarkood dhalay?!!!!:
