NGONGE Posted May 2, 2012 ^^ Check this out: Jamaican Citizenship by Naturalization Naturalisation Of Aliens Qualifications •Be resident in Jamaica for a minimum of five (5) years immediately preceding submission of the application. •Be of good character and be financially solvent. South African Nationality through Residency (Naturalisation) A South African passport is granted if an applicant has been a Permanent Resident for a continuous period of 4 years in South Africa. South African naturalisation is the process through which permanent residents (that is, candidates who began with a South African visa for business, a work permit or one of the other temporary South Africa immigration services) can complete the process of becoming a full citizen. Read more: http://www.1stcontactvisas.com/South-African-Visas/PassportandNationality/Naturalisation.aspx#ixzz1tinbekZZ British Citizenship Citizenship of India by naturalization can be acquired by a foreigner who has resided in India for twelve years. The applicant must have lived a total of 12 years in India in a period of 14 years, and must have lived in India for 12 months uninterrupted prior to applying for citizenship. N.O.R.F Posted May 2, 2012 ^I know. They're usually laws passed through parliament (those laws don't exist in Somalia), procedures put together by for example the Home Office or Border Agency (not done in Somalia) Wax fahan!!!!!! All that work

NGONGE Posted May 2, 2012 ^^ Dee adiga. Durba Yehood iyo Carab ayaad Somalia keentay! Norf, Wasn't work. One word lined them up for me and I cut and pasted the relevant bits here. Again, what were your "comments" about this constitution that everyone is complaining about?

NGONGE Posted May 2, 2012 ^^ Yes. p.s. SL's one is 10 years not five. Happy?
N.O.R.F Posted May 2, 2012 Actually, it was a general comment. Only those with the skills required for the country to develop should be allowed in (doctors, engineers, nurses etc). Investors as well. Asylum seekers also. I also think that duel nationality for qurbojoog Somalis should have a process. They must have been in the country for at least a month in their lifetime
NGONGE Posted May 2, 2012 ^^ Only RICH people allowed miya? Lucky I'm a Somalilander that has just about lived there for over a month then!

Carafaat Posted May 2, 2012 I like the Swiss model. Let every clan or State decide who joins them and they nominate for Somalism. Swiss citizenship / Naturalization It is in Switzerland’s interest that well-integrated foreigners take up Swiss nationality. In the first place, the communes and cantons are responsible for naturalization matters. The Federal Government lays down the relevant criteria. Result: Very difficult to get Swiss nationality. Even you and your parents were born there.
