Somaliland: Namibian Parliamentarians to visit soon

HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – Namibian parliamentarians are expected in the country soon on an official visit.

This was revealed by the speaker of parliament Hon Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi Irro during a press briefing at the Egal international airport VIP lounge, on his return from a trip to Namibia.

Hon Irro who was accompanied by the 2nd speaker of the house of representatives Hon Ali Yusuf Ahmed said their trip which was on an official invitation from the Namibian parliament was very successfully as various issues were agreed upon.

During the visit which took a week the Somaliland parliamentarians held talks with senior officials of the Namibian government beginning with the Prime Minister Hon Nahas Angula after they addressed the joint houses of the Namibian parliament in the presence of the country's president H.E. Hifkepunye Pohamba.

Hon Irro said that following their talk's cooperation between the two countries will be enhanced greatly in many areas while a visit by Namibian parliamentarians will help cement the accords reached. Namibians parliamentarians will pay a reciprocal visit following an official invitation by the Irro delegation
