actually i heard a western anthropologist who studied Somalis, said in his dairy, "Somalis love 3 things, God, Camel, and Clan, but if you tell them to drop 2 and choose only one, then they will choose the Clan.". True, when it comes to Qabiil, we will forget Allah, morality, xishood, long vision. its a curse on the Somali ethnic I am afraid.

The virtues and evils of qabiil are over rated. There's some use, there's some misuse, it just so happens that Somalis are collectively myopic . There are many other qabiil based societies who aren't bent on self destruction.
