Xaaji Xunjuf Posted April 30, 2012 Well right now the Garowe clan enclave they have their own little army Galmudug state same story along with ximan iyo xeeb. Also the grave worshipers in Galguduud have their own little army, we also have the TFG they also have their own little army and we have the Alshabaab Militants. But the reason there is division is simply because of Clan federalism Somalia needs strong institutions and national unity.

Some people really should understand this can throw Somalia in to her own dark middleages of fiefdoms waging war against another. We have seen the warlords, the Al qaida's, the warlord-politicians, and this will be ignite a period of clan fiefdoms waging war against another using flags rather then clan names. If folks propagating democracy and people voting for their leaders, I am sure democratic elected leaders would never propose this. Something only non-elected Faroole's, Caalin's and Sheick Hassan's could make up to permanently stay in power using fiefdoms.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted April 30, 2012 Carafaat that's not all they will all have direct relations with the neighboring countries Kenya and Ethiopia clan states will fight it off like ancient rivals remember the clan wars between reer galmudug and reer Ximan iyo xeeb. Remember the clan wars in the Juba regions, in 2011 the Kenyan government wanted to establish a clan state in the lower juba regions as a buffer-zone. Carafaat Somalidi waxa laga dhadhicyey hadanaad Mamuul goboleed lahayn Somalida waad ka hadhaysa sadex reer ba hada Mamuul u sameyey jubooyinka (Jubaland azania iyo jubarasstate) all from different clans. Carafaat Posted April 30, 2012 If in Somalia people from diffrent clans can share and live togather in the same region and city. If Al Shabaab can govern entire regions. Then for sure one can share regions, cities, regional admins and a central goverment. Without seperating eachother in diffrent States, dividing cities and dividing regions. Alliyah, when people rather attack a persons character, it usually means they dont have any arguments.

But the reason there is division is simply because of Clan federalism Somalia needs strong institutions and national unity. where we making the grave error is we comparing to western institutions or even corrupt ridden, tribalistic 3rd world. It's none of these 2.We agree why isn't the first, but even the latter ,gov't institutions have existed or run by force continously like kenya,Nigeria etc; and even where there was civil war like uganda & ruanda,a unified armed single entity came on top unlike somalia where none could defeat each otha & vacuum been the norm, the longest in any country in modern times. So what now?for any who need to unite, they should keep their army, institutions locally and a very weak federal gov't ova see.No trust seriously. The last none prefer is a strong central gov't that can impose drastic measures at will.Imagine Shabab or any of the war lords with enough power to make their word divine. There is no otha solution but regional gov'ts go forward..that make strong man obsolete.Look at the U.S ,every state have it's own laws,i.e,there is no state tax in oregon. As corrupt as somalis r,problems arise on how to share revenue, taxes, foreign aid..who eva has little power on others makes sure his cronies & region get it all!!! all aware of real problems but yet to come with solutions devoid of clan. That's $1million question.Everything is clan..back to square one:D
