What it shows is that Somaliland is in a weak position, the international community rejected it in the London conference which was an embarrassing moment for them, and their allies the English rejected them outright with hints throughout the conference about preserving the "unity" of Somalia.

 

If you listen to the interview he admits that he was the one who reached out to talk to Sheikh Shariif. 2012 has not been a good year which is why you don't see the Oodweyne guy around talking about how recognition is around the corner, even Jacaylbaro has slowed down. We are only waiting on Xaaji to take a few steps back.

Aside from his usual rants, Faisal brokered and mediated 'peace' deals in some of the most difficult moments. He can be a diplomat when its for the bigger cause. President Siilanyo would not be sitting there if it wasn't for Faisal's 'dhex dhexaadnimo'.
