Carafaat Posted April 26, 2012 I really don't understand what Faroole/Abdiwali would gain by sabotaging the talks. How will the current status quote help the Somali people.

How will the current status quote help the Somali people. talks or no talks did you actually think Somaliland would unite with Somalia. Never it was to discuss formality and re-establish relations after 21 years of chaos in Somalia. Therefore sabotage or no sabotage the status quo is good for Somaliland. Its Somalia that needs Somaliland today therefore the people of Somalia should be more clever and remove these pirates from their realm so we can help our brothers in somalia solidify some form of peace and work in re-establishing some form of viable government in Somalia even be it using Somaliland to negotiate a lasting peace between Somalias various parties with that said. No unification is on the cards from Somaliland side. Even with the current situation in Somalia simple logic shows its impossible your dealing with a state that has no functioning army that is entirely dependent on AU, Ethiopia and Kenya as the basis of their existence. A house of cards thats all it is. Somali's need something tangible not something fake.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted April 26, 2012 Carafaat stop being so naive adeer do you think they care about Somali people its all about scoring Political Points they want to push their road map and clan federalism than they can talk. But Somaliland will only have a dialogue with Somalia the way Somaliland wants there is no other way possible.
Somalia Posted April 26, 2012 ^^ History shows that Puntland cares more about the Somali people than they care about themselves. How many times have a government been established, when Puntland got involved in 2004 it took off and the world noticed Somalia, look where we are now, the TFG is going ahead. But if you negotiate with specific clans that may be sympathetic to your secessionist cause instead instead of with a wide reaching consensual forum, I promise you there will be other tactics. More hot air from pirates. buuuutland saxib is nothing even though i know you think its a global superpower. Somaliland gained independence before Somalia, no one is breaking away from anyone its registered at the UN, AU and Arab league now with that said. We wish our brothers and sister in Somalia attain peace and Somaliland will do whatever it can do to assist them. As for buuudland we dont recognise buuudland. There are 5 points on the Somali Star and puntland aint included therefore you dont exist in the relationship between Somaliland and Somalia full stop. you guys are acting like an old lady who wants to chat with this stud called Somaliland. Somaliland aint interested. We interested in establishing ties with our brethren in Somalia not some Hot puff up got nothing pirates from Bari.
