Anba waan u abtirin karaa. Your mistake is thinking they only intermarry with you and they don't share borders with Somalis. You put yourself in little box doesn't mean others are.

Che they are classified Q@ldaans the people in Somaliland might not agree on the political situations in SL and Somalia and how things are going laakin waxa la isku haya iyaguna wa ogyihin ilaah na wa ogyahay. Just one simple example the union they had with Puntland just didn't work out because they never ever shared a common goal aspirations and their interactions with the Puntlanders was minimum.whether it was marriage sharing values traditions or ethics. Thats why a portion of them joined Somaliland and the other portion joined Khatumo.

People think that the interaction and the same political culture and National identity the people had adopted was because of colonial Britain but even before that there was a time some where in the 1800s. When some subclans of the garaad clan were allied to one of the habars and the other section of the garaad clan was allied to another habar. And they used to raid each other some times they would raid together the reer hawd and the other group would retaliate and raid the nugaal clans. And that's how it was during that time there was zero cultural interaction with the Puntland clans.

Back to the talks the status is quo is not good Somaliland not recognized Somalia not stable and its sovereignty being violated by foreign troops including France. Somaliland non recognition status gives Ethiopia the upper hand to influence Hargeysa and even Mogadishu because of its fragile situation. Ethiopia Kenya are happy with the status quo but its not good for SL and Somalia. lets talk either unite or separate but the status quo needs to end.If we continue this path both Somaliland and Somalia are screwed.

A stable Somalia is in better position to negotiate. Today's Mogadishu shouldn't make rash decisions.
