Xaaji Xunjuf Posted April 10, 2012 Mukalaalow when i heard Somaliland declared independence in 1991 in burco i was like what this cannot be true my first reaction was wa lugu deg degey and caydiid when he was fighting against Ali Mahdi he just all that time he wanted to honor the pact he had with the SNM wa nin qawl leh. President Siilaanyo wrote in 1991 April a power-sharing formula between Somaliland and Somalia to share power on the bases of SNM and the USC a Confederacy system consisting of two states one country. A shirweyne conference was planned in Mogadishu between the SNM and the USC but all of this was interrupted by the Manifesto crew who ran to Djibouti and selected a President. It really shows why the whole somali jigsawpuzzle can't be solved when history rewritten while blood still warm! how you gona get somali unity by falsifying history??Do you think SNM or USC will let you get away with that.Just look back, that's what destroyed Mogadishu & somalia in general,someone in arm chair who don't know what's like to fight in the bush...like Ali Mahdi. SNM was the group that went into cities and started fighting among women and children and later they went to another level and started massacring refugee camps.
