First it was the SSDF who carried the first attacks on Somali army in 1978.

Then SNM joined the "struggle" in January 1981. And in 1988 they briefly captured Burco and attacked Hargeysa, but they're were pushed out and their main power destroyed.

Then USC joined the "struggle" in 1987 and toppled Siyaad Barre in January 1991. While Muqdisho was in the hands of USC, Hargeysa, Burca and all Somaliland territory was under the control of Somali army who later negotiated for withdrawal with General A.Aziz.

 

That is the real History of what happened. Relentless sxb don't believe some SMN Rambos overthrew Siyaad Barre regime.

Yes, January 1987 was the year USC political wing was established in Rome and its leader was elected as Husein Ali Shiddo.

Xaaji it seems you have little knowledge of USC. Yes the armed wing led by Gen Caydiid was formed later in 1989 in Mustaxiil Ethiopia.

I don't need to ask any one mala caruur baad tahay eh Ali wardhiglay was the deputy SNM chairman in 1983 under Mr Kosaar having talks in Roma in late 1987 doesn't mean that they actually joined the struggle in 1987 as you said USC joined in 1989 they visited us in Baligubadle in 1989 and that's when the struggle started for them.
