SAGAL Posted June 28, 2003 A new idea applied with great success in the prison of Dubai: The ruler of Dubai decided to decrease the sentence time of prisoners who learn the Quran by heart according to how many parts they learnt as follows: 15 years removed for anyone who learns all the Quran (30 chapters), 10 years for 20 chapters, 5 years for 10 chapter, and 1 year for 5 chapters. after only one year of applying the project, the prison celebrated 35 of its inmates!!! 2 of them were released completely! and 15 dropped 5 years! I cried watching the new look on the faces of people who were one day "criminals" but are now corrected humans who want to go out to teach their kids religion as they said! the officers said the change in character was amazing: no more depression, aggression or fights, complete obedience to the officers and a warm friendly feeling among the inmates... Infatua.5an Posted June 29, 2003 That's a great idea wallahi...i wouldn't mind getting locked up in dubia in that case ! i just might commit a juvenile act ...with no distractions i can memorize the HOLY QUR'AN ...aint that something we could also adopt this idea for UNITED SOMALIA(inshallah)...once we establish a functioning diplomatic government that is!...other islamic states should also consider applying this successful concept Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
