Manala_garaad_baa Posted June 11, 2002 Asalaamu calaykum waraxmatulllahi wabarkaatuhu. Few months ago I was reading this islam book that I borrowed from my friend. And liked this advice and I taught I should share with my brothers ans sister of this site. In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Kind. * One who knows himself knows his creator. * If you love Allah, tear out your heart's love of the world. * The fear of Allah makes one secure. * How can you rejoice aboutthis life that grows shorter each hour. * A worldwide reputation can be undone by an hour's degradation. * Three defects make life miserable: 1.VINDICTIVENESS!! 2.JEALOUSY. 3. A BAD CHARACTER. * One who is proud of worldly possessions in this fleeting existence is ignorant. * Joy is followed by trears. * Each breath of man is astep nearer to death. * The best man is he who is most helpful to his fellow men. * One who thinks himself the best is the worst. * The hated person is one who returns evil for good. * Learned men live even after death; ignorant men are dead although alive. * There is no treasure like knowledge. * Knowledge is wisdom and the educated man is the wise man. * Experience is knowledge gained. * Who never corrects himself will never correct another. * Listen & you will teach yourself: remain silent & you risk nothing. * One, who reflects on Allah's gifts, succeeds. * Ignorant harms a man more than a cancer in the body. * One of the signs of a stupid man is the frequent change of opinion. * Never soeak when it is not the time for speech. * Beware of back bating: it sows the seeds of bitterness & separates you from Allah and man. * The best trust is the keeping of promise. * Better be dump than lie. * A hypocrite's tongue is clean, but there is sickness in this heart. * Better to be alone than with bad company. * Whoever sows good reaps his rewards. salaam 2 all.
Armstrong Posted June 12, 2002 Jazaka Allah Khair for this article, very heart-moving and enjoyable read. I am surprised no one else has replied to say thank you. Kruella Posted June 28, 2002 Now this is what I call intelligent quotes, unlike Aristotle and the misguided so called thinkers. These are truely moral and ethical premisses we can abide to and live by. I join the rest in thanking you for these enlightening advice. I wish there were more topics like this. salam
