Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed left the country on Monday, where he was seen off by President Assistance, Dr. Jalal Yousef Al-Degair, Minister of the Interior, Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud, and Minister of Culture, Al-Samoal Khalaf Allah. Minister of Culture affirmed, in press statements at Khartoum Airport, Sudan support for Somalia in all areas, pointing out that Somalia on the verge of an important stage of holding elections next August, besides a permanent constitution for Somalia. He added that the Somali President briefed the President on the latest developments in Somalia, which he described as stable, explaining that the Sudan – Somalia have historical, political, social and economic relations. The State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Salah Wanasi, said in a statement to SUNA that the visit of the Somali President visit comes in the context of the distinguished relations between Sudan and Somalia. He said that the new stage necessitates the consultations between the two sides, adding that the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir, and his Somali counterpart will hold talks at the Guest House on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
