The point is, a federal capital belongs to everyone, if they disagree with this the solution is simple; moving parts of the government to other parts of the country as suggested by some. Many countries in the world have this system where the largest city doesn't become the legislative or judicial capital, it will diminish its reach and we'll see how they'll like it then. Qandalawi Posted March 19, 2012 ^There is no Keyga in Mogadishu. All Somalis invested and have stake in the capital. Mogadishu is different from Garowe or Garbahaarey. Qandalawi Posted March 19, 2012 ^I think Eyl or Qaw will be a fantastic location for the capital, the landscape is simply enviously beautiful and deserve to be built and invested in by all Somalis. Move the capital there and all the government and foreign embassy institutions. And, all Somalis including those from the area should have the same equal chance of running for office and be handed the keys to ruling the city by anyone Somali and be free from any federal admin. But let's just say they get their wish and the capital is made it's own self governing state, what exactly do they get out of this? Will other Somalis not be allowed to return to their properties or buy new ones. Will the federal government not be able to administer offices or institution?
