Carafaat Posted March 19, 2012 my concern is not with oil being found in Somalia, nor with future oil companies producing oil, nor who will get the earnings. But I have a problem with the financial ponzi scheme behind Range Resources, African Oil intended to propagate the oil discovery so people get a oil fever, dream of hugh wealth and buy the stocks of these companies and loose their money. just like in 2009, 2011 and now again the same individuals are propagating the proces of oil exploration. Oil exploration is conducted on many places in the world, it takes hundreds of drillings and many years to finalize this proces. And I dont doubt that there is oil in Puntland, but I doubt the intentions of those obsessed with greed and who encourage people to buy some worthless stocks and promise great wealth. While people will loose that money and greedy Somali versions of Madoff will profit from this ponzi scheme. Nowhere else are people encouraged to buy shares of a company with only a percentage ownership of the oil exploration contract. how else would it loose value from 30 dollar to 2 dollars in 2009; people have a short memory to forget this scheme has been done 2 times before. Bilan A.Aden who is from the region, has conducted a study on the financial scheme behind this project and wrote several artices on this, http://wardheernews.com/Articles%202012/Feb/27_congratulation_bilan.html
General Duke Posted March 19, 2012 Is there drilling in Puntland State of Somalia?
Carafaat Posted March 19, 2012 did the shares loose their value last time you propagated them in 2009 and 2011 from 30 to 2 dollars? and from 22 to 6 dollars. wonder what they will be worth after a couple of months, they are trading for 15 now and for sure it will loose value after the usual propaganda and spreading of market gossip. General Duke Posted March 19, 2012 Again answer the question is there Oil drilling project being carried out in Puntland State of Somalia?
Illyria Posted March 19, 2012 Waar adigu duul duul badnidee horta. Your intentions (you and Bilan) might be honourable and your heart might be in the right place, and you are within your right to be concerned, but both of you are going about it the wrong way. neither of you presents anything in the area of tangibles to make your case against oil exploration and drilling in that part of the country. and that makes all you say bordering nuisance. waa wareey, it is a bad idea, is not good enough. do you have anything concrete to convince otherwise. if not, you are no different from faarax beenaale and his infamous 'adhigii waraabaa cunayeey'. As long as you are not against the current Oil drilling program in Puntland. As for the shares and the company that is your battle lad..

Loool, it doesnt take much more then some market gossip for increased trading in share. And these little comppanies dont have that much daily traded volume. So its quite easy to manipulate the markets, and media and puntland goverment seem to help with the buzz. Burnt Money, you call Bilan BinLaden? she must have terrorized your business there. Che -Guevara Posted March 19, 2012 ^The point is who does it hurt? There are no financial losses to the Somalis and no reputation to uphold?
