Somaliland: Al Nour Furniture opens the largest furniture showroom

 

HARGEISA-Al Nour Furniture Somaliland largest furniture retailer open the country’s largest furniture retail showcase room on Thursday March 8, 2012. Hundred of guests including government officials, business community and residents of Hargeisa attended the grand opening ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony first was Mustafe Abdi Ciise one of Al Nour’s managing directors who began with his speech by first thanking the attendees of the grand opening for their time. Mr. Mustafe Abdi went on to say Al Nour’s main mission is to provide incomparable value, unmatched selections of furniture and exemplary customer service and so far it has done well for the company’s growth. Al Nour offers variety of furniture from home décor to business furniture. With the opening of today’s showroom A Nour furniture has instantly become the largest furniture provider in Somaliland.

 

Also speaking at the opening ceremony were Hargeisa governor Mr. Ahmed Omar Hamarji who credited the company for opening the new store in Hargeisa and for the job creations that it brought to the community. Speaking after Hargeisa governor was Somaliland Commerce and Industry Minister Abdirisak informed the audience that the government’s policy is to encourage free trade in the country and to attract more domestic and international cooperates to invest in Somaliland.

Never understood why politicians are at event for private enterprise but then one realizes there's nothing they actually do to improve the socio-economic conditions of the region, These photo ops is an opportunity to shine.
