Aside from weak insults directed at Puntland no one here has presented a coherent argument against the action of the State. The Central government has not even responded to the current changes of the market and Puntland has to to take action. Again Garowe is protecting the people as it always has done.

Puntland is working this new money with the federal goverment and the money is already ordered by the TFG. Some of it will be dispatched to Mogadihu and some of it to Puntland central bank.

These are the same notes that the TFG(ina Sharmake) printed couple of years back. It's the TFG that's implementing this and PL has agreed to use the currency. It will come to PL, GM, and all TFG controlled area of the South central. Again it's not a PL's own currency so easy with the attacks.

This is not a new currency. It comes with the conjunction of the TFG and it's money ordered during PM Abdirashid's term and will replace the old Somali Shilling as there's not enough currently in the market.

 

The Dollar exchange rate is down, nobody knows why it is the case but there is a lot of Dollar bills and not enough Somali Shiling notes around. Some say it's a combination of Amisom soldiers being paid in USD, the famine relief who brought a lot of US Dollar bills into the country the Turks with their development projects who of course bring US Dollars to pay for those and other companies. So this new Shilling is vitally needed at the moment in order not to lose the Somali Shilling altogether.

 

It will come to Mogadishu and other parts of the country such as Puntland shortly. This kind of things actually destroy the credibility of Somali news portal to the lowest level possible. You just need to see what has been written about this in order to understand that we are lacking credible news sources. People are jumping to conclusion to easily to without proper reading into the matter, this shows that we are lacking comprehensive thinking skills and that we are like sheep the one leading the other without knowing where.

The central bank has failed while the shilling is losing value, I do not agree with printing money but there is no credible authority to do this. 70% of the shilling is forged anyway.

 

But this is not a new currency, they are replacing the one printed previously.
