Ok, in context it sounds good, I can't disagree, 20 years of stability being in danger is no good. He says there's a progress of becoming a state and they do not meet the criteria.

I see a double standard in the position taken by the Tfg's defense minister.

The state of Khaatumo fulfills the constitutional definition of which area or regions can become a full state. Galmudug is much smaller than Khaatumo in terms of geographic size and population.

 

I think the federal constitution must be drafted on the basis of the 18 official regions of Somalia and any clan whose territorial rights span over two regions should be allowed to form their own regional and local governments. To put into legality some specifications that favors one group over another perpetuates the Somali conflict and it's not in the interest of international peace and stability.

 

Allowing a clan to dominate another clan is the root cause of the Somali civil war. Don't let it happen in the north.

But we all know the Tfg exists in name only under the protection of foreign powers.

 

It's sad that the so called interim government officials can't guard their clannish excesses at coming to the defense of one clan against another. That's not how you build a buttom up legitimacy.

Nassiir khaatumo claims sool sanaag including you're eastern sanaag do you agree with that if they claim you're land where will maakhir go. Boosaso perhaps. Khaatumo has 75 percent of sool when we exclude the Caynabo district of sool. Cayn region is not a gobol its a district of togdheer. So if we add their buhoodle district to their sool they have one full gobol they still don't fulfil the criteria to be a full federal state Besides even with that they don't control the sool region nor the claimed sanaag region. Galmudug is a different story they established galmudug In 2006 that's six years ago and galmudug was really needed for the federalism thing in the middle regions since only the garowe clan enclave was the only federal state.
