The Hermet Posted March 6, 2012 Hiiraan Online Ahmed Abdisamad Tuesday, March 06, 2012 An Alshabaab attack on Burundian troops in Mogadishu leaves one soldier dead and another wounded in Daynile district of Mogadishu. In a statement AMISOM troops say the attacked soldiers were on a petrol to dismantle explosives in parts of the city before they were shot by Alshabab snipers in a distance. AMISOM commander Fred Mugisha condemned the attack saying it will not hinder from them to carry out their duties. “We will continue our fight against terrorists, their aim is to harm the civilian population, we encourage Somalis to inform us if they notice such acts”.Said Mugisha. “We send our condolences to family of the deceased soldier, he was in a mission to stabilize Somalia, we will never forget him”. He added. Although Somali government troops and AMISOM forces pushed out Alshabaab from Mogadishu, Alshabaab still carry out attacks in the city.
