Somalia Posted February 26, 2012 Puntland shouldn't wait for what oil money they think may come through to help the coastal city. Qandala down to Garacad is going to be PL's economic work centres, with fishing industry thriving and minerals such as salt being exported again along the Hafun lagoon. At its peak Hafun's salt factory was one of the largest in the world. It costs $110.000 per 5 km to repair roads according to development agencies, I think the coastal towns should be the next focus.
