That's a lie, it was taken out of context. He said that some IDPs should be returned to areas where Turkish relief workers work instead of being in Puntland where they can't get the same kind of help due to lack of funds.

Spin, Spin :D

I guess facts are not irrefutable in your world. Don't make stuff up, hit him out of the 1000s of other thing he has said, not something taken out of context.

To the rest of you.

He will be your President whether you like it or not, we will see in 6 months. :D

Dr Faroole is a duplicious and a provision man, he sees the world through the prism of Garowe lense, he's got nothing to offer to the wider Somali nation. He should just occupy himself with provisional governance.

What is a 'provision man'? He will be your leader, how come you do not like him, he will give you oil money, make it rain on you. :D

@Gaacuur, he's not my uncle but he's our future President :D

Never man, this man has a lot of political skills, we won't see it coming, he moves like a cat. With oil money, we know who will become the maid and butlers.

Puntlland has fared well under Faroole, economic and business wise. Inflation is low, more investment, larger income, tax income increased, He managed to sustain income from Piracy and get funding to "fight" piracy, start the oil drilling.

But Somalia's problems can't be solved with more NGO funding, more goverment income or more mashruuc's, strong men. That has helped in the past either.

We need a genuine dialogue, bottem-up approach, inclusive and strong institutions, transparancy and start building the fundements of a genuine Somali Governance Structure, lay the seeds now that can grow. It should be less about the persons and more about the institutions.

# I meant regional governor#

The current leaders need to retire once the transitional period is over both at local and national level. We need to find a new generation of leaders to take us into the next stage.

Silanyo should quit, the old fart is an embarrassement to the Somali people. At his age he should be leaving his delusion of 'Somaliland is muqadis' nonesense and waking to the reality that somalis are one ppl who share ONE country named SOMALIA. :D

Puntland politics is un-harmed, Our politics of federalism has hitten off real well in Somalia with more administrations forming, We have decided how the mogadishu parliament will look like with two separate chambers one for MPS elected by their constituents and one for regional governments. We decided how many members the Parliament will have and we are playing big role in writing up the constitution.

We are getting rid of the 4.5 tribal system and going back to the popular vote system similar to 1960-1969, gone are the days when someone is referred to as half a human being, they will be treated like any other somali in the nation. The popular vote system was of great benefit when the people decided who led them and that happened to be called the rashid and razaq era however if thats what the MAJORITY of people wanted who are we to say NO?

Democracy is about majority rule, and if somalis don't accept that then they are not working in the spirit of democracy and working in the spirit of tribalism(4.5). The profile of Puntland has risen extremely well in the international arena under farole's leadership with high level delegations from many countries visiting garowe and many high level delegations from Puntland visiting world heads. This has brought one major policy shift in our favor the dual-track policy which farole called for in the 2009 congress meeting at America and which the American government today has accepted as the best policy towards Somalia.

As far as politics is concerned he is doing very well, other regions are miserably failing in their politics but not Puntland we are doing the best so far and achieving or already achieved all of our core policies either domestically or internationally. The only one thing farole has failed miserably at is the security of the state internally and externally.

The only areas the man needs to pick up on is the security end and keeping the state safe internally and externally if he did that the man would argueably be the best president in the history of Puntland. Thats the only fault he has which sometimes over-weighs all the other good things he has achieved.

He has done extremely well in the democratisation of Puntland and creating the state to have multi-parties. Sure it may not be direct democracy as in one-man one vote, buts its a representative democracy with representatives from 36 cities and towns of Puntland converging onto garowe to be apart of the historical day of shifting Puntland politics from clan to multi-party.

Our parliament will have parties and popular vote taking place within the parliament based on party policies and not clan politics. Thats the early stages for now. But once Puntland democracy has matured not this first election at 2013 but the next one 2017 it will definitely be a one man one vote system after a census has been completed and popular referendum and the resources and time is available.
