Carafaat Posted February 8, 2012 Inshallah, when we have have resolved all of our little disagreements, come to better understanding and more compromise. I am sure we Somali's would wake up, compete with the world and start to create more economic opportunities for our people and conquer our region, the Horn and the region. And this how I see it, each city and region specializes itself in certain industries and markets using; -the +/-20 million Somali domestic market in the Horn -the 3 million Somali's abroad in diaspora with hugh purchasing power -the 200 million people in Horn of Africa, EAC(Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda) and Ethiopia through trade existing trade links -the 70 million market in the Gulf countries who import already our livestock. Macallinka Posted February 9, 2012 Am sure we have the man power , knowledge and the energy required for such project . We r already doing some of the points you described above . We control the whole clothing Market in Kenya and neighbouring countries even though we don't produce them. All we need is some sort reconciliation (forgive and forget) like the Southafricans then such project will come into reality inshallah .

Folks need to soften up from previous demands, and for that to happen. we need to show them its not the end but the beginning of something new and beautyfull. Macallinka, I dare you to come up with an original realisable idea and city where it could be done.

Carafaat Posted February 9, 2012 Cities like Berbera, Lasqoray and Marka are already developing their own fishmarkets, delivering fish to the international market. Imagine how booming they could become, if they would get a loan for developing cooling and processing facilities.
