4th February is the Anniversary of Genocide in Dilla and Borama by SNM by Suleiman Abdi Dugsiye

 

It’s that time of the year – February the 4th - when we the people of Awdal remember the mushaahidiin who were cowardly killed by the SNM mujaahiliin criminals for no apparent reason. It’s that time of the year when curses descent on the bloody hearts of the immoral SNM criminals.

 

It’s that time of the year when we the people of Awdal remember our heroes who were killed cold blood by the power crazy SNM criminals. It’s that time of the year when we the people of Awdal remember those of us who died defending our land and people – young and old. It’s that time of the year when we remember the innocent Awdal children and the old men and women who were savagely killed by the cold blooded feeble minded SNM mujaahiliin criminals.

It is February the 4th when we remember the SNM rampage in which they killed thousands of innocent people in every town and village in Awdal just because they belonged to Gadabursi tribe.

 

For decades now SNM and supporters have been trying to skirt the issue of apologizing for their acts or renouncing their crimes against innocent, peace loving Awdalites, especially because it is difficult and embarrassing. It is that time of the year again when we expose the criminal acts committed by the SNM to the civilized world.

 

May the civilized world know and remember that thousands of our uncles and aunts would have been living in this world today? May the youth of the world know that thousands of our nieces, nephews and cousins would have been in their prime years of life this week? And thousands of them would have celebrated their birthdays or weddings this year or past years.

 

May the scholars of the world know that thousands of our youth would have graduated from Amoud University in the past years? May the senior citizens of the world know that thousands of our uncles and aunts would have become grand parents this year or past years. May the world know that, that never happened and will never happen just because of some criminals called SNM who went into rampage and killed thousands of our people for no apparent reason.

 

The SNM criminals thought that they would hide the facts but to no avail. The world knows the criminal acts committed and here again we the people of Awdal remind the world and will keep reminding year after year.

The SNM criminals chose to ignore to even recognize their sense-less crimes let alone to apologize. They hid the facts and never told how they dared to do what they did. But let me remind the world how things happened;

 

You (The SNM criminals) crossed the border with your Ethiopian friends (Mangistu reign) and killed indiscriminately. As to your other claims of liberating a country, I believe that it was just a case of “Budkii iyo bisadii kulmey.” I know that, because I remember and will always remember. We the people of Awdal will keep it alive. We will always remember our people (your victims). We will always read to our children your criminal acts as bed time stories. I remember and here I tell the world your crimes:

 

* You committed acts with intent to harm, destroy and damage and that is crime.

* You killed thousands of defenceless people and that is crime.

* You caused bodily harm to innocent people for no apparent reason and that is crime

* You deliberately inflicted on innocent people conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction and that is crime.

* You destroyed mosques for no logic reason and that is crime.

* You burned hundreds of farms just because they belonged to Gadabursi citizens and that is crime.

* You looted stores just because they belonged to gadabursi merchants and that is crime.

* You destroyed wells just because the gadabursis used them for drinking and that is crime.

* You did all criminal acts that could be done just because the Gadabursis are/were peace loving civilized citizens of Somali Republic.

 

SNM forces did all that and more. Your immoral acts will always be remembered. we remember the carnage in Borama. We remember the looting in Awdal. We remember the cries of the babies and their mothers. We remember the suffering of the old men and women in Dilla. We remember your burning the farms and the houses in Qalooc and the mosques which you destroyed with heavy artillery. We remember what you did in Zeila. We remember how you treated the innocent people of the villages of Awdal.

 

We remember your coming with the Ethiopian soldiers (Mangistu reign) and We remember your laughing with them. We remember the enjoyment on your faces while rampaging in the streets of Borama. We remember all that and will always remember and tell the world your shameless acts.

 

You (SNM) claim that out of your madness a state was born, but I remind you that it could not have been created with out Awdal. I remind you now that Awdal State is here for its people and land. I remind you that your SNM is doomed and no more. You dreamed of one day ruling the country, but be assured that Awdal State has the command now and urge you to drop and forget your dreams. You try to cover up your acts, and I assure you that I expose them. You are showered with praise, I assure you that I will be there to condemn you. You refuse to apologize and recognize your crimes, I then remind you the message:
