MoonLight1 Posted February 1, 2012 While Somalis are busy on each other, the debt of the country is growing by the minute, I heard an estimated $2 billion is owed by Somalia with IMF, World Bank, and other Loaners and creditors given during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. If this amount is accurate that means every Somali citizen owes the world $20,000. So hopefully if we get a functioning government in the near future, I am afraid we will have to start repayments straight, and there is no signs of the US and EU countries pardoning us and giving us a debt relief as they did to many countries in Africa in 2006, and the reason being the economic mess they are in them selves. Abwaan sxb this is really making me nervous as I see the slow meltdown of Greece economy because of debts, and Genrmany telling them to hand their taxation sovereignty, bury in mind the clock is still ticking and every day God knows how much goes on top. I think before the war it was a hundred and something million, and now it passed $2 billion. that is really scary for a sub third world country.
