Cambuulo iyo bun Posted July 26, 2013 1. People are scoundrels expect the worst. 2. Never invest in anything you can't operate or understand. 3. Take care of your body and it will be good to you. 4. Have fun in your youth when life is simple, don't rush to grow up. 5. Friends are enemies you haven't discovered yet. 6. The sweeter and nicer your lover talks, the nastier the bite when things sour. 8. It is easier to be a critic than to provide solutions. 9. Don't have high expectations and you will not be disappointed. 10. Spend time with your folks and grandfolks because you never know if they may be around in the future. Reeyo Posted July 28, 2013 A big lesson I am currently learning ( I believe it is this, it might be something else entity)! Sabr, patience, Sabr and more Sabr. With every stage in your life their is a reason for it, Allah will reveal it you just have to be patient enough to endure it first.

OdaySomali Posted August 23, 2013 Some people only know you when they need something, the rest of the times you are a stranger to them. And funnily enough when you need something, you are still a stranger to them.
QansaxMeygaag Posted August 26, 2013 STFU and take it like a real Somali....is what I learnt. I have had 1000x more opportunities than both my parents combined and I've hardly seen them complain as life threw stuff at them, but I complain 1,000,000x more than them in my bubbly middle-class existence.... Perhaps true for many of us on SOL who are really privileged in many ways...

OdaySomali Posted October 5, 2013 In the face of adversity, fight and fight and fight. Even when the battle seems unwinnable, perservere. For if you do not even attempt to fight and do not perservere, you shall never overcome. And if you do not fight for yourself and for others in the persuance of justice, who will? If you lose - and sometimes you will lose - do not let the defeat define you. Instead, let the defeat wash over you. Learn from it, grow from it and then move on from it.
