The first phase has been completed cleaning out the rubbish around the port area, The second phase has begun and dredging of the port to make it a deep-sea port to accomodate larger ships and weights. The port expansion is going to be excellent to open up more docking berths for larger ships like the WFP without taking up the whole space. The project includes also clearing up the road to the port so its more organised and not a bottleneck. Leezu Posted January 30, 2012 Nice! It still needs alot of development but seems like its going through. All the Northwest Somalis need to stop bashing Puntland because they are doing great work aswell and they might be behind but they werent created before 1998. Even though they had 7 years heads up, we not only surpassed them, but in three months the oil revenues kicks in. in 2 to 5 years, hello Dubai state of Somalia.
