He wages a war against the free media and specially against qarannews. He even send an email to British Foreign Office and Mi6 accusing qarannews journalist of terrorism because they wrote some critical articles about him. They wrote that he has no real Dr title and has never done a Phd.

Président UCID, Faisal Ali Warabe Commentaires sur le ministre des Affaires étrangère

 

Hargiesa,(Sunatimes)-The chair of the Somaliland opposition party, UCID, Mr. Faisal Ali Warabe stated that the laws, institutions and adherence to the constitution in the country are in serious danger under this current government.

 

Speaking to media in Hargeisa, Mr. Faisal Ali Warabe stated that the example of the former UCID member, and current Speaker of the parliament, Mr. Abdurahman Irro, who failed in a bid to usurp the leadership of UCID, then bolted the party to form his own nascent political operation, Wadani, yet refuses to step down as speaker and vacate his seat, as prime example of the failure the Somaliland politicians to follow the constitution.

 

Mr. Faisal Ali Warabe, chair of UCID, continued that the committee for registering and overseeing the formation of the new political parties is unable to maintain any semblance of control over the plethora of new parties opening offices without even submitting their constitution and party documents to the committee. Mr. Warabe declared that even a new shop or restaurant has to register with the local city or town council!

 

With regard to the current situation in Sanaag and southern Togdheer, Mr. Faisal Ali Warabe, lambasted the administration of President Ahmed Mohamed

 

Mohamud for taking their eye of the ball, and neglecting their duties at a moment of great peril for the nation.

 

Mr. Warabe stated that although the President is currently seeking medical treatment in the United Kingdom, most of his senior officials are accompanying the President; however, a communiqué was not even issued on the discussions and agreements between the President and Ethiopian Prime Minister, Mr. Meles Zenawi

 

Mr. Faisal Ali declared that other government ministers are either on vacation overseas, attending international conferences or taking over tea-shops at Egal International Airport!

 

To clarify his reference to the failure of the some of the current government ministers, Mr. Faisal Ali Warabe, commented on the sensational news regarding the Somaliland Foreign Minister, Dr. Mohamed Abdillahi Omar, attempt to besmirch the independent website, Qarannews.com, its staff and senior editor, Mr. Mohamed Jama, with baseless charges of links to terrorism. Mr. Warabe described the Foreign minister’s action as illegal, illogical and irrational.

 

Mr. Faisal Ali Warabe, the chair of UCID, is the first senior opposition politicians to remark on the Foreign Minister’s debacle over Qarannews.com.

Abtigiis, you are right.

 

I will try to keep my comments content wise. I got a bit emotional and carried away. Some of my friends of the media have been arrested and they say this evil guy is behind it.

 

And you are right, he lies constantly about where has been and what he has been doing. they called him the run-away minister for refusing to appear before Guurti for nearly 4 months!!
