A_Khadar Posted January 13, 2012 I heard that Yemen clans has some sort of what Carafaat is talking about. In Yemen, if you decide to leave your clan and join a different one, you call up both clans olders/leaders and pronounce your departure and join the new clan.. From that day you are no longer that clan.. BTW, you can disassociate the clan's idealogy, but I think you always be that clan. Think about becoming what somalis call "Inan la'yaal" which mean get marry a lady from the clan you want join and live with your in-laws.. over the years, you may become one of them.
