Statistics about the wealth of the state have already been gathered. A reliable estimate of the population of the state is underway. A paper policy is being prepared to instruct the money transfer agents in the state to keep record of the remittance from Diaspora until a state bank under the guidance of Somali Central is formed. What portion of the pie from Somali reconstruction funds the TFG will agree to send to Laascaanood is being figured out (Turkey $300million, Islamic counties $350Milliom). Each economic sector of the state is being analysed. Estimates of state expenditures mainly on security and education are being studied. Points of discussion include emphasis on promoting small businesses that are involved in industrialization, agriculture, husbandry, healthcare etc…details will follow. Waryaahe have you seen Puntlands budget last week? it was $38 million dollars, This weeks SL Budegt for 2012 is around $95 million dollars,. these two regions with their airports, ports and NGO handouts could not raise more than these figures, So how could you say $300 for poor SSC regions with no sea and airports?
