PasserBy Posted December 15, 2011 jijiga, December 14, 2011 (jijiga) - Jijiga University in Somali regional state enrolled over 2,790 new students in 2004EC, University President, Dr. Abdinasir Ahmed said. Dr. Abdinasir told ENA that the university managed to enroll the stated number of students following completion of expansion work carried out with over 200 million Birr. The President said the expansion work includes, among others, construction of classrooms, dormitories, dining hall, library and workshop. He said 20 per cent of the stated number of new students are females.
