Jacpher Posted December 10, 2011 Noor came close this primary election but in the end, he lost to a democrat so still a win win. Hopefully Noor will get it next time. Somalis will need to stand behind the winner so she beats the republican candidate come January. Good to see the mayor Ryback and Sadiiq in the clip. Though Somalis reside in this precinct largely, they are actually scattered around all over the metropolitan area.
Baashi Posted December 12, 2011 Good going for Mohamud. He sure got the fire in the belly not only for this state senate seat but also possible congressional seat. He put his competitors on notice. Two Somalis run for city council seats in Seatac and Tukwila (in greater Seattle metro area). Both lost but I am sure they've learned great deal from that experience.
