Qandalawi Posted December 6, 2011 I will be looking forward to reading it! The man will have a lot to say I believe, given that he had a long and eventful life. Joining the Somali army from a young age, training in Russia and Italy, playing a major role in the 77 war against Ethiopia, attempting coup and serving years of imprisonment twice under Barre regime, organising a rebellious movement against the regime to playing a central in Somali politics for the last two decades of the civil war. He had ups and downs and whether you love him or loath Yey had actively been visible character in the recent history of Somalia of the last half a century.
