The thing i like about him is that he is calm and collected when articulating his opinions.Recently he was debating with a Somali Kenyan dude in bbc and even though the sijui guy was a bit name-calling the good professor was calm and respectful....

It seems Amiin Caamir has a personal vendetta against our brother, Cabdi Ismaaciil Samatar and his wonderful nascent urur, Hiilqaran.

 

And an extended logic can also be applied purely borrowing from the accusations drawn in this cartoon -- that the same accusation can be used against Amiin Caamir because his political cartoons might seem against every political player in Soomaaliya, too. No?

Cabdi Ismaaciil Samatar doesn't only criticize, but is offering where we can find the solutions. He is part of the solution, so are you? Do you have solution yourself? No? Jidka banee hee. Mise you are only against him because he is an eloquent anti-secessionist.

I think you guys are misreading it. The cartoon depicts Axmed not Cabdi. Axmed is the only Samater that fit here.

He's a cartoonist. He can be cheap, immature or simply wrong. The point is not to take his cartoons so seriously.

In Amharic, they say "nabey ba agaru ay kabarim" (A prophet is never respected in his home country). This is a very bad cartoon and very unprofessional. Professor Abdi Ismaciil Samatar is a first-rate intellectual, a proven somali nationalist and a man who decided to do something about his country's politics unlike others. Caamri is saying "ninkani wax walba wuu neceb yahay". I would ask like what? Is there any doubt what he is opposing is things that we all oppose? Hasn't he supported the maxaakiimta when they were looking promising?

 

Adeer Somaalidu waa xaasid miidhan. Most of the attacks against Professor Abdi and his brother are coming from envy and useless tribalism.
