Abokor Omar Posted November 19, 2011 Thankful go type in google, zanab badawi rapes Somalia, and you will find that your beloved Puntland classes the rape of minorities as a national sport on bar with piracy. This was reported on both BBC and channel 4 news, respected news organisation. The sad thing was that the government were the main culprits. These so called government officials are in the day time on the high seas committing piracy and at night rapeing defenceless women refugees. hey thankful? Saalax Posted November 19, 2011 Not surprised that Thankful is scared of being the victim of a gangs rapes afterall his from Booweland (Buntland) where males are raped. A doctor from Puntland General hospital then addressed the issue of rape, telling the audience that it was a wide spread problem in Garowe, and that young girls, young boys as well as elderly women were victims. http://www.so.undp.org/index.php/Somalia-Stories/Puntland-judges-get-training-on-HIV/AIDS.html
Thankful Posted November 19, 2011 Please, I know none of you on here will never ever criticize your fellow Hargeysa-Burco-Berbera triangle brother. But you know JB's making fun of such a serious topic is quite disgusting and show's that he obviously does not take this grotesque crime serious. Who else would joke about it. As well, don't talk about male gang rapes in Puntland because according to the same website you quoted, the UN see's this as an issue facing all of Somalia including the Hargeysa admin. However, you silence in condemning JB's post speak volumes! http://www.so.undp.org/index.php/Somalia-Stories/Access-to-justice-for-all-in-Somaliland.html Sexual Assault Referral Center in Hargeisa.......In the first six months of 2009, SARC dealt with 65 cases of sexual violence against women and men.........Then it comes to widening access to justice, the SWLA provides free legal aid to poor women who are victims of gender based violence – mostly rape and domestic violence but also sexual exploitation, infanticide, child abandonment and harmful traditional practices such as genital mutilation, forced marriage and inheritance traditions. Sexual violence including child rape is a growing trend in Somaliland
Saalax Posted November 19, 2011 This has resulted in widespread rape and other forms of gender-based violence in Puntland.Furthermore, women and girls have faced prejudice over the lack. Which led to widespread insecurities in Puntland and people fighting against injustices. http://www.tadamun.org/1-3-projects.aspx
Thankful Posted November 19, 2011 I can go tit for tat and post every website that talks about sexual assaults in NW Somalia, but do you have the guts to condemn this disgusting joke on such a serious topic? Or will you ignore it or change the subject? Jacaylbaro;759898 wrote: Make sure you have a metal underwear when you're coming ,, or else .. Well? Mustafe Posted November 19, 2011 Now the title of this thread wasn't very helpful at all was it? The subsequent result was both regions' reputation being dragged in the mud as It turned out that both regions had the same problems occuring from time to time;). Guys, please be careful when dealing with sensitive issues like these, we don't want the USA re-thinking about Somalia's dual track policy.

Duufaan Posted November 20, 2011 Gabooy clans are about 15% to 20% of Somaliland population. They have been victims for long time. First they accused Gabooye population supporting Siyaad Bare regime and since the collapse of central government, they were forced to leave their home. Many of them moved to south, those who remain are victimized daily. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=gabooye+somaliland&gbv=2&oq=gabooye&aq=7v&aqi=g5g-v5&aql=&gs_sm=c&gs_upl=8539l15518l0l22963l7l7l0l0l0l0l291l1459l0.3.4l7l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=fecfe1d9c1058a45&biw=1957&bih=
