The title of the thread is intentionally misleading - Nevertheless I do have serious question - Hence I am hopeful that the gallery would provide serious answers to my question - failing that I am still hopeful the members will at least ponder upon the subject.

 

Here is the Question: Are the following words not in our vocabulary, custom, culture etc as far as it pertains to the conduct of our people including the politicians??

 

1. Principle?
2. Honour?
3. Self Reliance?
4. Self Esteem?
5. Dignity?

^^The word 'esteem' comes from a Latin word that means 'to estimate'. So, self-esteem is how you estimate, or regard, yourself.

And how do you estimate, or regard, yourself?

Try asking yourself these questions.

• Do I like myself?
• Do I think I'm a good human being?
• Am I someone deserving of love?
• Do I deserve happiness?
• Do I feel deep down that I'm an OK person?

People with low self-esteem find it hard to answer yes to all or most of the above. Perhaps you are one of them.
